Sabinsa Corp. (East Windsor, NJ) has opened an office in the greater Toronto area, further expanding its already significant presence in the Canadian market. The company has 30 Natural Product Numbers approved by Health Canada, including for its flagship ingredients Curcumin C3 Complex, LactoSpore, and BioPerine, to name a few. Through this office, Canadian customers will also be able to coordinate contract manufacturing services from Sabinsa’s Utah contract manufacturing facility, which has a registered Foreign Site Reference Number authorized by Health Canada to permit Canadian importers to more efficiently demonstrate compliance with various Canadian regulations.
“This expansion is part of our growth strategy in Canada for our ingredients and services,” said Sabinsa founder Muhammed Majeed, PhD, in a press release. “Our next step is to open a warehouse in the area, which will reduce the transit time and logistical hurdles to get the orders to customers more quickly.”
“The Canadian supplement industry has been growing at a robust pace; Sabinsa wanted to contribute to this growth by facilitating access to our ingredients by Canadian companies and its end consumers,” added Shaheen Majeed, Sabinsa president worldwide. “The office will help serve our Canadian customers with information on health claims approved by the Canadian Health Directorate.”
