Natural and organic products still account for just 2% of global personal care product sales, says the report.
Global sales of natural and organic beauty products will likely reach $9 billion this year, according to Organic Monitor’s latest report, “Global Market for Natural and Organic Personal Care Products.”
By 2015, revenues from such products could reach $14 billion, the report says. Organic Monitor notes that although demand for these products is global, sales are most concentrated in Europe and North America.
Natural and organic products still account for just 2% of global personal care product sales, says the report, although that percentage is higher in countries such as the United States, Germany, and Austria.
Private-label products are also on the rise, the report says. In Germany, these account for approximately 20% of natural personal care product sales.
