The BRC standard provides a framework for the management of product safety, authenticity, quality, and legality, rating companies on a scale from AA to D.
Following a successful audit in September 2021, Kiwa Agri Food awarded Prinova Europe official BRC certification with an AA grade. The BRC standard provides a framework for the management of product safety, authenticity, quality, and legality, rating companies on a scale from AA to D. One of only two schemes recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) for brokers and agents, it enables ingredient suppliers to demonstrate that they have robust quality and safety management systems in place.
“We are extremely proud to have achieved an AA grade and consider it an endorsement of Prinova’s core values of customer focus, quality, and integrity,” said Fanny Crossley, head of compliance at Prinova Europe, in a press release. “As a critical link in the chain of custody for ingredients, it is our responsibility to put all controls in place with best-in-class practices to guarantee product safety and quality.”
With FAMI-QS certification for animal feed applications already secured, the BRC certification now covers all of the company’s trading activities.
“We uphold the highest standards and continuously improve our processes to deliver the products our customers deserve,” said Louise James, director of operations at Prinova Europe. “This AA-grade certification is a recognition of the efforts of all the teams within the company who have built our quality and food safety processes over the course of many years, making them an integral part of our business activities.”
