NXT USA, a new nutraceutical company, has launched TamaFlex, a joint health formula. A patent-pending combination of tamarind seed and turmeric rhizome extracts, TamaFlex was shown in a recent study1 to support comfort, flexibility, and function in healthy subjects in as little as 14 days.
According to the firm, TamaFlex targets two pathway that cause joint inflammation: COX-2 and 5-LOX enzyme pathways. It also contains the first tamarind seed extract available globally to be backed by published safety data.
“We’re excited to bring TamaFlex to market because we believe it fills an unmet need in the joint health market that products like glucosamine and chondroitin just can’t address, namely consumer demands like clean label, vegan and non-GMO,” said Eric Anderson, managing director, NXT USA, in a press release. “TamaFlex is also clinically validated in healthy participants, while most joint products rely on data from folks with health conditions.”
