B Corp certification verifies a company’s social and environmental performance.
Nutraceutical ingredients supplier NuLiv Science USA (Brea, CA) has gained B Corporation (“B Corp”) certification, administered by nonprofit B Lab, verifying the company’s social and environmental performance. This certification furthers “the company’s commitment toward operating its business as a force for good while delivering research-backed ingredients for health and wellness companies worldwide,” the firm’s press release says.
B Corp certification requires companies to undergo a rigorous review, sometimes taking two years, of the impact of its business operations and model on its staff, customers, community, and the environment, spanning the supply chain and local communities.
“We originally went through the certification process to support our objective of including our team members and the environment as stakeholders for business considerations,” said Richard Wang, NuLiv’s CEO, in a press release. “However, the process also gave us a lot of insight into how we can be better stewards to everyone involved, from the people working for our suppliers to the communities throughout the supply chain. We’re beyond excited to be one of the few ingredient suppliers in our space to be B Lab certified.”
