In a recent press release, Quicksilver Scientific, a premium nutraceuticals manufacturer and exclusive Quinton products distributor, disclosed that the organization’s Louisville, CO manufacturing facility received NSF’s NSF/ANSI 455-2 Dietary Supplements Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certification. Through obtaining this certification, NSF has verified that the facility has the correct equipment, proper methods, controls, and facilities to create “high quality” dietary supplements.
Quicksilver Scientific utilizes Quicksilver Delivery Systems technology in their products which has established a new standard for liposomal delivery with liposomes under 100nm. Because of this technology, says the company, Quicksilver Scientific’s supplements are absorbed into the body through mucous membranes that are located in your mouth and upper GI. The company's products are additionally tested and are allergen-free.
“We are thrilled to have been granted the NSF/ANSI 455-2 Dietary Supplements Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certification,” said Christopher Shade, PhD, CEO and founder of Quicksilver Scientific, in a press release. “Since 2006, Quicksilver Scientific has been dedicated to creating high-quality and highly bioavailable dietary supplements. This certification reflects the rigorous standards upheld in our state-of-the-art facility, where every product is carefully manufactured under strict quality control processes. Our commitment to excellence is also evident in our ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Accredited (PJLA) Accreditation #119683 Accreditation Field: Testing, certified lab.”
The press release mentions that “The NSF/ANSI 455 GMP standards are designed to strengthen safety, quality and trust throughout the supply chain, combine regulatory requirements with retailer quality requirements, and reduce the number of audits and financial costs associated with audits.” With these tools, businesses are able to create nutritional products that meet quality standards and are also processed, manufactured, and labeled with proper controls.
“The NSF/ANSI 455 GMP mark indicates that an NSF auditor has audited a facility, checked documents and deemed the facility compliant with GMP regulations for production,” said David Trosin, senior director, nutrition and wellness, of NSF, in a press release. “We’re very pleased to grant NSF/ANSI 455 GMP certification to this Quicksilver Scientific manufacturing facility.”
