Mushroom dietary supplements are trending, and companies are courting customers with expanded delivery formats. Two recent launches—a new mushroom daily gummy and a mushroom spray—are the latest innovations giving shoppers new ways to take their mushrooms.
Last November, a company called SuperMush introduced three functional mushroom supplements in a convenient spray that can be sprayed directly into the mouth. The products—Daily Energy Mouth Spray, Daily Immunity Mouth Spray, and Daily Chill Mouth Spray—feature mushrooms such as reishi, cordyceps, lion’s mane, and turkey tail to support health and regulate stress hormones. Because mushrooms can present taste challenges, the company says it made sure its product would taste good. The Energy supplement has citrus and green tea notes, the Chill product is hibiscus-flavored, and Immunity tastes like cinnamon toast cereal.
This February, another company, Earth & Star, introduced its new Super Multi-Mushroom Gummy, a product intended for daily use and inspired by daily multivitamins. The product contains 10 functional mushroom extracts to support performance, brain function, stress, and the immune system. Each raspberry-flavored gummy is shaped like a mushroom. The company also offers mushroom products in alternative delivery formats such as ready-to-drink lattes, coffee, chocolate, and tinctures.
