Nexira (Rouen, France) is introducing a new devil’s claw ingredient line at the Vitafoods Europe trade show. Called FlexiGo, the ingredients are derived exclusively from Harpagophytum procumbens and Harpagophytum zeyheri and aim to relieve joint discomfort.
“Coming from a root growing only in the South of Africa, FlexiGo is the natural solution for joint health,” the company’s press release states. “Our ingredient, made in France with a gentle process, is also available in organic grade.” And, it adds, because the ingredients come from a plant source, they meet the needs of vegetarians and vegans.
Nexira says the extracts are standardized to a high level of harpagoside (up to 40% harpagosides with UV method). Companies using FlexiGo may be able to utilize such pending claims as “Helps to maintain joint health” or “Helps to maintain flexible joints and good mobility,” the company adds.
