As part of its range of organic and sustainable ingredients called inavea, Nexira (Rouen, France) has combined baobab pulp and acacia gum for their prebiotic effects on flora balance and gut comfort. The premium range promises two things, says Nexira: clinical validation and carbon neutrality.
Baobab pulp and acacia gum have been subject to a proprietary study by Nexira. The study demonstrated, for the first time, the prebiotic effects of baobab at 10 g/day and the synergistic prebiotic effect of inavea Baobab Acacia at 5 g/day. The formulation acts as an effective microflora regulator to create, restore, and sustain beneficial bacteria balance. The study also demonstrated gradual fermentation across the entire intestine. When it comes to its carbon footprint, Nexira has taken on the ambitious goal of achieve carbon neutrality for the inavea range of ingredients in 2021. This voluntary undertaking has been taking place over several decades, as Nexira took special care to preserve the origin of its raw materials as well as the ecosystem linked to the natural resources.
Inavea can be used in a number of applications, including fortified drinks, dairy products, functional foods, and food supplements. The formulation is also Certified FODMAP Friendly unlike other fiber ingredients, which may cause discomfort.
