The State of New York’s Attorney General has requested information from three makers of energy drinks, purportedly looking into those companies’ product advertising, Reuters reported today. The firms subpoenaed are PepsiCo, maker of AMP Energy; Monster Beverage Corp.; and Living Essentials LLC, which markets 5-Hour Energy.
Reuters reported that New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has asked for documents related to the companies’ products and marketing. So far, the companies subpoenaed have declined to comment, Reuters stated.
