The new 42N-80S ribbon blender from Charles Ross & Son Co. offers customizable features and a maximum working capacity of 80 cu ft.
Extending its line of ribbon blenders for a variety of applications, Charles Ross & Son Company (Hauppauge, NY) has announced its new 42N-80S sanitary ribbon blender (pictured above).
The new blender is driven by a 50 HP gearmotor and features a maximum working capacity of 80 cu ft. The machine’s double ribbon agitator turns at variable speeds as high as 28 rpm, and the 42N-80S includes a cover with multiple custom ports and a bag dumping station with safety grating.
Charles Ross says its ribbon blenders can meet processing objectives such as dry powder blending, coating particles with minor liquids, paste mixing, preparing solid-liquid suspensions, vacuum drying, and mixing solids of different shapes and sizes. Capacities for its blenders range from 0.5 to 1000 cu ft.
There are also a variety of customizable features available for the new 42N-80S ribbon blender, including a heating/cooling jacket, vacuum capability, end wall scrapers, interchangeable paddle agitator, load cell weighing system, abrasion-resistant wetted parts, all-stainless steel construction, and PLC-based recipe controls.
