The new website does not appear to attack industry over contaminants, but rather provides information to educate consumers.
As krill oil gains prominence in the dietary supplements market, a new krill oil safety website designed to educate consumers on krill oil safety, quality, and freshness indicators has launched.
The website’s name calls to mind a controversial website launched last year that focused on fish oil safety. That website was connected to a Proposition 65 lawsuit in California alleging the presence of polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) contamination in fish oil supplements and sparked heavy criticism from the dietary supplements industry.
The new website www.krilloilsafety.com does not appear to attack industry over contaminants, but rather provides information to educate consumers on what to look for in krill oil safety, quality, and freshness. The website also features a list of recommended krill oil brand products, including products from Source Naturals and the Dr. Mercola brand.
