A yet-to-be published study presented at Experimental Biology 2022 (Poster: E380) found that supplementation with the patented complex of bonded arginine silicate with an optimized dose of inositol, nooLVL (from Nutrition21, based in Harrison, NY), supported cognitive function in esports gamers. In the study, healthy adult males and females between the ages of 18 and 32 received 1,600 mg of nooLVL per day for seven days. Each subject were asked to take multiple computer-based cognitive performance tests prior to supplementation, the first day of supplementation, and seven days after supplementation. The Cambridge Brain Sciences computer-based assessments measured: attention/concentration, visual representation, forethought and sequencing, visual perception, object relationship, and deductive reasoning.
Results showed that from baseline to day one, subjects saw significant improvements in attention/concentration, and visual representation. From baseline to day seven, subjects saw significant improvements in attention/concentration, visual representation, as well as forethought and sequencing. From day one to day seven, subjects saw significant improvements in attention/concentration. No significant differences were found in visual perception, object relationship, or deductive reasoning.
