Stable Micro Systems has introduced a new universal product support system for its Volscan Profiler, an instrument to control production in baked goods.
When it comes to baked goods, ensuring product consistency is no easy task. The volume of a finished product can affect crumbling, texture, and even enzyme activity.
Stable Micro Systems (Godalming, Surrey, UK) has introduced a new universal product support system for its Volscan Profiler, an instrument to control production in baked goods. Using laser technology, the Volscan Profiler allows bakers to instantly measure volume of any given product to ensure batch-by-batch consistency.
Now, a universal support system gives customers the freedom to adjust the profiler, depending on specific requirements for a wide range of test samples, without causing damage to the structure of baked goods.
“This gives vital information about the product, which in turn affects consumer perception,” said the company in a recent press statement. “Higher volume tends to be associated with a more aerated crumb and superior texture. Using the Volscan Profiler, bakers can control production more rigorously and rapidly eliminate inconsistency, resulting in greater consumer satisfaction and increased profitability.”
