A new plant-protein brand of products is designed for use in foods for the commercial catering, retail distribution, and food processing industries. The new Ensemble brand was introduced by Tereos (Paris), a French cooperative comprising 12,000 members of the agricultural raw materials processing industry.
According to Tereos, “Ensemble is uniquely placed in that the products contain just five main ingredients: wheat, chickpeas, sunflower oil, fiber, and vegetable stock. The ingredients used are sourced in Europe, with the range being produced in France, taking advantage of the know-how of Tereos—a pioneer in plant-based protein.”
The cost of Ensemble proteins is comparable to that of chicken, Tereos added. The Ensemble products are available in an original flavor or a chicken flavor. The products are available in the United States.
