The new beverage is a finalist in the NEXTY Awards in the category “Best New Functional Food or Beverage.”
A new nootropic and adaptogenic sparkling water from functional-beverage brand CENTR Enhanced was formulated with Kyowa Hakko USA’s (New York City) flagship Cognizin citicoline ingredient for brain health. The new beverage is a finalist in the NEXTY Awards in the category “Best New Functional Food or Beverage.” The awards will be feted during March’s Natural Products Expo West trade show in Anaheim, CA. This is CENTR Brands' first product launch outside of the hemp cannabidiol category.
“Our number-one goal is to get Cognizin into the hands of more consumers, and that’s why we’re so excited about this partnership,” said Karen Todd, MBA, RD, vice president of global brand marketing for Kyowa Hakko USA Inc., in a press release. “We’ve put in the work through numerous rigorous human trials to affirm that Cognizin does what we say it does, and we are so proud that CENTR Brands recognizes this clinical proof.”
On its website, Kyowa Hakko points out that Cognizin’s patented form of citicoline has been shown in clinical trials to address certain neurodegenerative processes, help maintain normal cognitive function with aging, and act as an antioxidant to preserve normal healthy visual function. It is currently featured in more than 200 products on the market globally, the company says.
Kyowa Hakko will be an exhibitor at the Expo West show at Booth #3870, and CENTR brands will be an exhibitor at Booth #2780.
