A partnership with Rimfrost USA gives Neptune increased krill oil production capacity.
Neptune Technologies & Bioressources Inc. (Laval, QC, Canada) is able to supply more krill oil, through a non-exclusive supply agreement with Rimfrost USA (Merry Hill, NC).
The partnership with Rimfrost allows Neptune to supply up to an addition 800 metric tons of krill oil each year, and it should be enough to satisfy the growing consumer demand for this fish oil alternative. Once Neptune completes reconstruction of its Sherbrooke, Quebec facility, the company will be capable of producing an additional 150 metric tons of its premium NKO brand krill oil. That reconstruction is scheduled for completion by the end of this fiscal year.
