It's here, thanks to Vesta Ingredients.
The first-ever Non-GMO Project–certified vitamin K2 is now on the market, thanks to Vesta Ingredients (Indianapolis). Both the company’s vitamin K2 (MK-7) and nattokinase ingredients are now certified by the Non-GMO Project, as well as kosher certified.
NattoMK-7 is a vitamin K2 (MK-7) derived from nattokinase that helps maintain bone mineralization and regulate calcium levels in the arteries. “Of all the types of Vitamin K, Vitamin K2 (MK-7) derived from natto has been shown to be the most effective and longer-lasting benefits,” Vesta says.
As opposed to other forms of vitamin K, the longer-chain-form menaquinone MK-7 is said to have a longer half-life in the body, for sustained benefits. Read this extensive article explaining the differences-and benefits-of vitamin K forms.
Vesta’s other ingredient now Non-GMO Project certified is nattoNSP-2, a fibrinolytic enzyme supported by human clinical trials.
