Don McKenzie served as senior executive for Nebraska Cultures.
Don McKenzie, former senior executive of Nebraska Cultures (Walnut Creek, CA) passed away after brief illness on Monday, January 23, in Palo Alto, California. He was 73.
McKenzie came to work for the probiotic supplier in 2003, leading marketing activities at the company and promoting the distribution of Cultivate Health From Within: Dr. Shahani’s Guide to Probiotics, a book written by Nebraska Cultures founder Khem Shahani, PhD.
“[Don] was a real champion of the probiotics industry, and even during his final days in the hospital, he continued to encourage us to focus on ‘high quality probiotics, progress on research, integrity, and consistency,’” wrote the company in an official announcement of McKenzie’s passing.
McKenzie is survived by his wife Cori, three, children, and three grandchildren. Condolences can be sent to Mrs. Don McKenzie, 15 Phyllis Court, Belmont, CA 94002.
