Contract testing laboratory Alkemist Labs (Garden Grove, CA) says more ingredient suppliers and finished-product companies in the nutraceutical industry have signed on to participate in the lab’s Alkemist Assured testing transparency program. The Alkemist Assured seal is granted for use to finished products and raw materials that Alkemist Labs has tested for identity, potency, and contaminants.
The following companies are now participating in the program for a selection of finished products: Beehive Botanicals, ChromaDex, and TruGrace. Meanwhile, ingredient suppliers Huisong Pharmaceuticals, Sabinsa Corp., and Verdure Sciences are now participating in the program for ingredients like curcumin and ginseng.
Products and ingredients bearing the Alkemist Assured seal are tested quarterly. In a press release, Alkemist Labs’ CEO Elan Sudberg said, “It is gratifying for all of us to see the momentum that our Alkemist Assured program is gaining at both the supply chain and finished product level.”
