Microphyt (Baillargues, France) will showcase its patented microalgae extracts for brain health, metabolic health, and active nutrition at next week’s SupplySide West trade show in Las Vegas, at booth #4442. The company’s ingredients are derived from Phaeodactylum tricornutum, which the firm says is rich in natural antioxidants like fucoxanthin as well as in omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA, essential amino acids, and vitamins and minerals.
The company says its uses patented technology to cultivate “any kind of microalgae, even delicate strains previously deemed unviable.” At SupplySide West, exhibitors can sample the company’s ingredients in formats like tablets, softgels, capsules, and gummies. These will feature the firm’s condition-specific formulas.
One of these condition-specific formulas is GamePhyt, a combination of Phaeodactylum tricornutum and guarana extract that Microphyt says improves memory, mental sharpness, energy, and endurance in gamers, and which was the subject of a 61-subject clinical study published in Nutrients.
Another formula is PhaeOptim, which targets weight management by supporting metabolic wellness and active and healthy lifestyles. Finally, BrainPhyt is a formula that helps improve short- and long-term memory, as well as special memory, the firm says. It is also clinically studied.
