Magnolia, a new menopause supplement from Israeli supplement company Ta’am Teva Altman, features SoyLife, a proprietary soy germ extract enhanced with magnesium from ingredients firm Frutarom Ltd. (North Bergen, NJ).
Unlike a whole soybean extract, soy germ by contrast is rich in the isoflavone daidzein, one of soy’s most active constituents, Frutarom says. SoyLife’s isoflavone content is standardized, and the company says studies show it helps alleviate menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes. Additionally, the firm says, studies show benefits for bone and heart health.
