Maypro Group has announced that May Yamada-Lifton is the company’s new chief executive office (CEO). The company’s previous CEO and founder, Steve Yamada, will assume the role of chairman.
Maypro Group (Purchase, NY) has announced that May Yamada-Lifton is the company’s new chief executive office (CEO). The company’s previous CEO and founder, Steve Yamada, will assume the role of chairman and will oversee special projects and support the development of the group’s Asia business, explained Maypro in a press release.
“We are very happy that May will bring her extensive corporate and innovation experience to take Maypro to the next phase of its growth,” said Yamada, in a press release. “Together with May, we will continue to use our entrepreneurial spirit to bring health and happiness to humankind.”
Yamada-Lifton has been working as Maypro’s chief operating office since 2021 after spending 20 years in the pharmaceutical industry, including 13 years at Pfizer. She holds an MBA with honors from Columbia Business School and two Bachelor’s degress; one from the Massachussetts Institute of Technology and one from the University of Tokyo. Yamada-Lifton also serves as a co-chair of the Women in Nutraceuticals’ Mentorship Committee.
