Lycored (Beer Sheva, Israel) says that its innovative ingredient Sante is now suitable for reducing salt and enhancing flavor naturally in powdered and canned soups.
Sante is a result of isolating the flavor-enhancing compounds in tomatoes. The company says its ingredient can boost flavor and allow for salt reduction up to 30% in soups, achieving both feats without lingering tomato flavors for the consumer.
Lycored’s Sante can eliminate the need for MSG and other flavor enhancers in a variety of food applications. A list of potential applications is available at the link above.
