Lonza Consumer Health and Nutrition (Morristown, NJ) will showcase the full breadth of its nutrition portfolio, ranging from clean-label ingredients and delivery systems to natural beauty ingredients and patented pet health ingredients, at the upcoming Natural Products Expo West trade show in Anaheim, CA.
The company’s clean-label capsule offerings are led by its new Vcaps Plus capsule colored using a natural purple source. This purple color is derived from the extract of purple carrots. The company says that Vcaps are made from only plant-based hypromellose and water. “The Vcaps Plus Purple Carrot capsule offers a solution to manufacturers and brand owners looking to add naturally sourced color to their vegetarian capsules without compromising on a clean-label position,” the company says.
Lonza will also highlight its scientifically backed ingredient portfolio, which targets some of the most popular health and ingredient categories today. It includes Lonza's ResistAid immune-support ingredient as well as its UC-II undenatured type II collagen.
For pets, Lonza is highlighting a new patent granted to its Carniking L-carnitine ingredient for active dogs and working animals, which helps to reduce the animal’s muscle degradation and oxidative stress resulting from physical activity.
And, for the first time, the company says it will showcase naturally derived personal care offerings at the show, including a "Digital Defense for Eyes and Skin" innovation to protect against photoaging from digital devices.
