Life Extension (Fort Lauderdale, FL) launched Bone Restore Elite with Super Potent K2 to reduce the risk of age-related bone density loss, which particularly effects post-menopausal women. Calcium is essential to support strong bones, but the star player in the new formula is vitamin K2 (45 mg of menaquinone-4), which helps maintain the body’s calcium balance. The addition of vitamin D3 further encourages calcium absorption. The formula is rounded out by the trace minerals magnesium, zinc, manganese, boron, and silicon.
“I’m excited about this formula,” said Michael Smith, MD, Life Extension’s Director of Education, in a press release. “We combined our Bone Restore formula with a high potency vitamin K to offer comprehensive bone health and density support.”
The addition of vitamin K2 may also support cardiovascular health by drawing calcium to the bones, and reducing the risk of arterial calcification. Bone Restore Elite with Super Potent K2 is non-GMO and gluten-free.
