The Swedish agricultural cooperative Lantmännen has launched two new versions of its plant-based oat protein concentrate PrOatein: PrOatein Fine and PrOatein Organic. PrOatein Fine was developed for us in applications where mouthfeel is paramount, such as dairy alternatives and plant-based beverages. It offers the same amount of protein as the conventional PrOatein, but has a smaller particle size for smoother mouthfeel. PrOatein is already made with non-GMO oats from Sweden but the Organic line offers manufacturers the ability to utilize PrOatein in organic applications.
“We are very pleased to be able to answer to the increasing global demand for organic ingredients with this launch, since the marker of plant-based proteins and organic food is continuously growing year on year,” said Kristian Knutson, marketing & sales manager, Food Ingredients, for Lantmännen, in a press release.
