In a recent press release, Jiaherb announced it was celebrating 25 years in the natural ingredients and botanical extracts manufacturing industry. Jiaherb was founded on August 24, 2000, in Xi’an, China, beginning with fewer than 30 employees and a product portfolio with just 10-DAB, which is derived from yew trees and used in the production of the cancer treatment ingredient paclitaxel.

Currently, Jiaherb has more than 2,000 employees across, research and development, production, and office roles, with more than 200 patents, and a portfolio of more than 2,000 botanical extracts and powders. Jiaherb is NSF-registered and GMP-compliant, also manufacturing fruit juice and vegetable powders, sweeteners, and spices.

“Reaching 25 years is just the tipping point to our commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction,” stated Xiaohu Du, founder of Jiaherb, in the press release. “From the very start with less than 30 employees and one product to a global leader with a vast portfolio – this journey has been made possible by our incredible team, loyal customers, and dedication to excellence. We are excited for the next quarter century.”

Included in the timeline were nine milestones from 2000 to 2025. Some of the milestones included becoming ISO-9001, ISO-14001, and HACCP certified in 2005; becoming USDA and EU Organic Certified in 2012; and launching the company’s own organic-certified farm in 2023. The company now has more than 20 certifications and accreditations. It also highlighted its sustainability efforts, diversified product line, and global expansion.

Most recently, in 2024 it completed its new laboratory and research and development building in China.
