The companies will launch three flavors, including acai and cupuaçu.
Jamba Juice Company (Emeryville, CA) has announced an exclusive agreement with the superfruit specialist Zola Acai to develop three flavors of superfruit shots to be distributed at Jamba Juice stores and other retail spots.
Starting early next year, the 1-oz. shots will be available in acai, cupuaçu, and acerola and caja flavors. Jamba Juice intends to market each flavor with one of its added “booster” formulas for various health benefits. For example, the company claims that acai, with an antioxidant booster, helps to support overall cell health.
For Zola Acai, this is the second partnership with a U.S. smoothie retailer on superfruit concepts. The company initiated a partnership with Robeks (Los Angeles) on three superfruit smoothies-acai, cupuaçu, and caja-back in 2009.
