International association the International Alliance of Dietary/Food Supplement Associations (IADSA) has welcomed a new member, Mexico-based association the National Association of Food Supplements Industry (ANAISA). ANAISA was created in September 2011 and is dedicated to the dietary supplements industry.
Key issues for ANAISA include the advertising of food supplements. The association has developed its own Code of Ethics to self-regulate the sector.
“We welcome organizations that work towards facilitating a political and regulatory framework for the growing dietary supplement market,” said IADSA chairman Pete Zambetti, in a press statement.
IADSA now represents more than 50 national trade associations and more than 20,000 companies.
