Called Eterna OmegaSource, the ingredient, which can be added to foods and beverages, is designed for optimum stability. The company says that although omega-3 EPA/DHA and vitamin D can present stability issues, especially when exposed to light, the company...s technologies help stabilize and protect those ingredients, allowing for emulsion in water-based drinks. The ingredient is allergen free, GMO free, GRAS affirmed, and kosher.
'Demand for vitamin D fortification is on the rise, and omega-3 EPA/DHA is as popular as ever,'ÃÂ said Dr. Chet Rao, marketing manager for Hormel Foods Specialty Products, in a press release.
