The Global Organization for EPA and DHA Omega-3 (GOED) has appointed Baldur Hjaltason the new chairman of its board of directors. Hjaltason is the strategic business development and sales manager for omega-3 supplier EPAX AS (Aalesund, Norway).
Hjaltason has more than two decades of experience in the omega-3 industry and oversees all business-to-business sales for EPAX in North America, Japan, and China.
“The most important task for GOED is to protect and move the EPA and DHA omega-3 category forward,” said Hjaltason. “There is more worldwide attention on this category than ever before, which provides both challenges and opportunities.”
