The new supplement concepts were designed to address abdominal fat and to “limit ingested fats and sugars.”
French contract supplement manufacturer Laboratoire PYC (Aix-en-Provence, France) launched new weight-management concepts at last week’s SupplySide West trade show in Las Vegas. The new supplement concepts are designed to address abdominal fat and to “limit ingested fats and sugars.”
The new “Flat Belly Formula” contains an extract of Sicilian blood orange, whose anthocyanins “act on the metabolism of adipocytes and on the accumulation of fat.” Says the company: “Significant results have been validated for this active ingredient by clinical studies on BMI, weight, and waste and hip circumference.” The formula also includes chromium, which can help address the body’s loss of sensitivity to insulin associated with excess abdominal fat.
The second prototype is a dispersible powder designed to dissolve in the mouth. “This type of formula helps to limit ingested fats and sugars thanks to the powder of barbary fig cladode,” the firm says.
