The Alkemist Assured seal, from testing laboratory Alkemist Labs, affirms that the ingredients passed tests for identity, assay, and screening for heavy metals and pesticide contaminants.
Ingredients supplier Verdure Sciences (Noblesville, IN) and third-party contract testing laboratory Alkemist Labs (Garden Grove, CA) report that four of Verdure’s ingredients have now been certified under the Alkemist Assured quality-control program. Created by Alkemist Labs, the Alkemist Assured seal affirms that ingredients and products passed Alkemist Labs testing for identity, assay, and screening for heavy metals and pesticide contaminants.
The Verdure ingredients now under Alkemist Assured include its ashwagandha extract powder (Withania somnifera), Witholytin (Withania somnifera), Bacognize (Bacopa monnieri), and Longvida Optimized Curcumin (Curcuma longa).
Alkemist Labs says Verdure Sciences was one of the first ingredient suppliers to begin participating in the Alkemist Assured program. Companies who qualify can feature the Alkemist Assured seal on their product sales and marketing materials. Companies’ ingredients and products are re-tested quarterly.
“The Alkemist Assured seal provides additional transparency in testing that supports our commitment and fight against adulteration,” said Sonya Cropper, vice president of Verdure Sciences, in a press release.
