Like sugar, erythritol can act as a bulking agent in foods.
Pyure Brands is introducing a certified-organic and non-GMO erythritol sweetener at the Natural Products Expo East trade show held in Baltimore last month. The company says its erythritol is now the first erythritol to have certified organic and non-GMO standing.

Pyure Brands secured non-GMO verification from the Non-GMO Project, which approved of the product following a review of extensive DNA testing on the ingredient.
