ExcelVite (Edison, NJ), a PIC/S cGMP-certified palm carotene producer, has collaborated with USP and its Non-Botanical Dietary Supplements Expert Committee, to publish a new Plant Carotenes monograph. The monograph was developed based on ExcelVite’s palm oil-sourced mixed carotene complex, EVTene, a natural plant mixed carotene with a similar alpha- and beta-carotene composition/ratio found in carrots: ~33% alpha-carotene and ~66% beta-carotene.
“The publication of this new carotenes monograph by the USP further underscores ExcelVite’s commitment to the highest ingredient standards,” says Bryan See, business development manager, ExcelVite, in a press release. “We are extremely proud of the fact that the analytical methods developed by our QC/R&D team for EVTene has been adopted in developing this monograph that will now be included into the long list of USP monographs as a trusted analytical reference for scientists or manufacturers worldwide.”
