ENovate Biolife LLC (Mumbai, India, and Wilmington, DE) has received patent #9,486,482B2 from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for its HeezOn product, a blend of botanical ingredients that the company says boosts male sexual desire, performance, and satisfaction. Among the product’s ingredients are shilajit (a sticky, tarlike substance purported to be an adaptogen), ashwagandha, tribulus, mucuna, safed musli (Chlorophytum borivilianum) and kali musli (Curculigo orchioides).
A human study involving 148 men and 11,650 data points found the product safe and effective. Botanical drug researcher Richard Rosenbloom, one of the study’s authors, said in the press statement that the research team applied the International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF) and Index for Premature Ejaculation (IPE)-gold standard tests used with Viagra-in the study, which is apparently also the only men’s health study to demonstrate female partner satisfaction. Up to 91% of the study subjects using the product confirmed “desire to continue.” HeezOn can help decrease dependence on synthetic products and can boost libido when taken with physician-prescribed Sildenafil and similar drugs, which can only work in the presence of good libido, the statement added.
“HeezOn is special as it is well suited for diabetics, as well as men taking nitrates or alpha blocker drugs where Sildenafil is contraindicated,” noted Mark JS Miller, principal at Kaiviti Consulting (Dallas), in the press statement. “Consumers are always seeking natural options for enhanced sexual health as they have grown weary of pharmaceuticals. With this successful patent HeezOn truly stands out as a safe, effective, substantiated, and unique option for sexual health.” The product already appears in multiple CPG brands in North America, both with and without other ingredients, according to the company.
