France-based organic certifier Ecocert has acquired Indiana Certified Organic.
France-based organic certifier Ecocert has acquired Indiana Certified Organic, an organic-certification agency that operates across the United States and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Ecocert says that the acquisition is part of its strategy to develop its North American business by partnering with local certification bodies. According to the companies, Indiana Certified Organic was one of the first bodies to be accredited by the U.S. National Organic Program. The acquisition brings an additional 300 U.S. clients to Ecocert.
