The health products regulatory experts at EAS have decided to offer one more EU health claims workshop before the December 14 deadline for products to comply with the EU’s new list of article 13.1 health claims.
The workshop will be held in Brussels on December 11, but don’t wait to register: the event is limited to 25 people.
EAS experts Patrick Coppens and Stefanie Geiser will be on hand to discuss every EU health claims challenge you can possible think of, including how existing products will need to be changed, how national authorities will enforce the new claims in terms of claim wording, and timelines for current claims that are still “on hold.” The workshop will also follow a December 10 EU Standing Committee meeting during which EU member states will consider broadening the list of permitted health claims. Outcomes of this meeting will be discussed at the workshop.
