Danisco (Copenhagen) has launched clear versions of its Grindsted xanthan gum. The Grindsted xanthan brand was introduced a year ago.
The new clear versions are targeted toward products requiring clear formulations, such as dressings and beverages. SAV Clear is for savory applications like dressings, vinaigrettes, soups, and sauces; BEV Clear is for beverages; and MAS Clear is for miscellaneous applications such as water jelly.
As for the original properties of Grindsted, “The higher functionalities of the new range such as suspension and synergies with guar and LBG have been preserved,” says Eric Goron, xanthan product manager for Danisco’s Enablers Division.
