Raw material costs are partly to blame.
Citing increasing costs for raw material, energy, and logistics, Danisco (Copenhagen, Denmark) is raising the purchase price of its Grindsted hydrocolloids by 5 to 15%. The price jump is effective November 1 or as existing contracts allow.
Danisco supplies numerous hydrocolloids, including alginate, carrageenan, cellulose gum, guar gum, pectin, and xanthan gum. All of the company’s hydrocolloid production plants are certified for British Retail Consortium (BRC) Global Standards.
