The pine-derived phytosterols are the result of a new partnership between Danisco (Copenhagen) and Arbois (Savannah, GA).
Following April’s announcement of a new partnership between Danisco (Copenhagen) and pine-derived phytosterols supplier Arbois (Savannah, GA), Danisco is now marketing the sterol ingredient under the brand name PinVita.
“PinVita phytosterols are a pure and effective way to keep the heart and arteries in shape by lowering the level of unfavourable LDL cholesterol in your blood by reducing cholesterol absorption,” the company says. “Derived from a natural and sustainable pine source, PinVita is easy to formulate and provides food manufacturers potential access to a cardiovascular health claim.”
