The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN; Washington, D.C.) will hold its annual flagship events virtually in 2020. The science-focused day-long symposium, The Workshop: CRN’s Day of Science, will now span two half-days and is renamed Science In Session. Taking place Tuesday, October 13, and Wednesday, October 14, it will convene experts to discuss research challenges and opportunities for developing and utilizing public health recommendations around dietary supplements.
The Conference: CRN’s Annual Symposium for the Dietary Supplement Industry will be reimagined as a virtual experience with the theme Now, New, Next, set for Wednesday, October 14 - Friday, October 16. It will feature an enhanced interactive format designed to engage, excite, and inspire—with the caliber of speakers and content attendees have come to expect from CRN.
Both events will deliver the substantial educational content, provocative conversations and valuable networking that attendees have traditionally enjoyed, while taking advantage of the features only a virtual experience can offer.
“The broader world events of this year are giving CRN the opportunity to reimagine our annual industry-wide gatherings to keep our members and other stakeholders safe and to reach even more dietary supplement and functional food professionals through a virtual platform this year,” said CRN president and CEO Steve Mister in a press release. “With new media come new possibilities—and new ways to participate. Our team will optimize the virtual experience with an enhanced interactive format, incorporating new technologies and some fun new approaches to interacting with your industry colleagues. And as always, we’re looking forward to digging into the most substantive and stimulating issues the industry is facing.”
Separate registration options for Science in Session and Now, New, Next will be available as well as a package price option for those who want to attend both, with discounted rates for CRN members and an early bird discount through August 31. Further details, including how to register, are coming soon to crnusa.org/2020events. In addition, a variety of new sponsorship opportunities are available this year that incorporate the features of the virtual platform.
