A new mixing and dispersion system is available from Charles Ross & Son Co. (Happauge, NY), complete with a Ross High Shear Mixer and a specially designed PowerMix, for manufacturing of fine dispersions.
The high shear rotor-stator mixer can reach 10,000 rpm with a 1 HP variable speed motor.
The PowerMix provides two high-viscosity planetary stirrers, two high-speed dispersers, and a scraper to wide the insides of the vessel. Variable speed of the planetary blades is driven by a 1-1/2 HP motor. Variable speed of dispersers is driven by a 3 HP motor.
A built-in control panel allows for personalized control of agitator speeds, amperage, and run times. Software is also available to ensure that desired results are achieved repeatedly, batch after batch.
Built for vacuum operation, the system comes with a vacuum pump and a discharge valve for discharging batches.
Sizes are available from a 2-gallon design to a 750-gallon design.
