Sudberg is CEO of Alkemist Labs, a passionately committed contract testing laboratory specializing in plant authentication, botanical ingredient identification, and quantitative analytical services to the Food & Beverage, Nutraceutical, and Cosmeceutical Industries. He holds a degree in chemistry from California State University Long Beach and has authored numerous articles on phytochemistry and analytical techniques for the natural products and nutraceutical industry. Elan is on the executive committee of the American Herbal Products Association (AHPA) board, on the AHPA Education and Research on Botanicals Foundation board, and was founding chair of the Hemp and Medical Marijuana Committee (now the Cannabis Committee). He received the 2019 NutraIngredients-USA NutraChampion award for advocacy of best testing practices.

Christopher Hudalla is a Ph.D. analytical chemist with more than 30 years of research experience in analytical chemistry. He is the Founder and Chief Scientific Officer of ProVerde Laboratories, Inc., a premier analytical research and testing facility for the regulated cannabis and hemp industries. Dr. Hudalla received his M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of California at Santa Barbara, and has delivered presentations all over the world in his areas of expertise, including analytical testing, extraction and research specific to cannabis and derivative products. He is active in numerous scientific organizations, contributing to efforts for the development and standardization of cannabis testing methodologies aimed at ensuring consumer safety.
David Sommer

David Sommer is the Vice President of Operations for Bluebird Botanicals, a manufacturer and retailer of hemp supplements. He has been with the company since 2014, dealing primarily with supply chain optimization, manufacturing, and all matters relating to regulations and industry compliance. David created Bluebird's public-facing batch system, designed to disclose third-party test results to consumers. Working with Bluebird’s Quality Assurance team, he also developed their rigorous product specifications for purity and cannabinoid potency. He is currently a member of the American Herbal Products Association’s Cannabis Committee and is formerly a member of the USHA technical committee.
