The branded ingredient is natural and standardized to 95% fisetin.
Bioriginal (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada) announced that its branded fisetin ingredient Novusetin has been assigned a Natural Product Number (NPN; #80117026) from Health Canada. The company said this is the first ever NPN granted by Health Canada to a fisetin ingredient.
The NPN “allows Bioriginal and its customers to sell and make claims on the antioxidant benefits of Novusetin by helping to protect against oxidative damage caused by free radicals,” the company stated in a press release.
Novusetin is all natural and standardized to 95% fisetin, the firm said. “As a naturally occurring flavanol, fisetin belongs to the bioflavonoid family of polyphenols, which are shown to have powerful antioxidant properties,” it added.
