BASF Corp. (Florham Park, NJ) has entered into agreements with nine distributors who will represent BASF’s personal care and selected home care businesses in North America. The nine distributors are ChemTec, GMZ, FitzChem, McCullough & Assoc., DeWolf, SeaLand, Brenntag Specialties Inc., Brenntag Canada, and Pachem.
BASF’s acquisition of Cognis last year broadened its portfolio, making it a leader in the cosmetics industry as well as strengthening its number-one position in detergents and cleaners. The company says that restructuring its distribution network will allow it to better serve its personal care customers.
“Our newly integrated personal care team, along with an efficient distribution network, will provide our customers with the most comprehensive product portfolio in the industry,” stated Frank Bergonzi, director of corporate distribution for BASF in North America, to the press.
