EasyAcid Malic Solution is a liquid malic acid ingredient for RTD drinks, while Pecmate Pectin Enhancer simplifies formulation when using pectin in gummies.
Bartek Ingredients (Stoney Creek, ON, Canada) will show off its malic acid and pectin ingredient solutions at the SupplySide West trade show, taking place October 31 to November 4, 2022, in Las Vegas. EasyAcid Malic Solution is a liquid malic acid ingredient for RTD drinks, while Pecmate Pectin Enhancer simplifies formulation when using pectin in gummies.
Of EasyAcid, the company says, “Primarily intended for the beverage market, EasyAcid Malic Solution is flexible to different production requirements and perfect for applications ranging from ready-to-drink sports beverages to energy drinks to sparkling waters. As a liquid-based ingredient, it eliminates the need to dissolve the acid, lowering the possibility of blending errors and excess dust generated during use.”
Meanwhile, Bartek suggests using its Pecmate Pectin Enhancer to optimize pectin-based gummy supplement and confectionery formulations. “It presents an opportunity for formulators to…better control gelling behavior and maintain stable pH throughout the formulation process, helping prevent product loss and production downtime.”
Mohammad Emami, director of the company’s marketing and business development, added in the press release, “Gummy supplements often contain costly ingredients, like minerals, probiotics, or cannabidiol (CBD), which impact the pH of the batch and can hinder pectin setting and processing. This alternatively leads into production scraps.” He said that Pecmate “is a great option for brands to avoid that.”
