Balchem Corporation (New Hampton, NY) has announced the acquisition of leading methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) manufacturer Bergstrom Nutrition (Vancouver, WA). Bergstrom’s MSM brand OptiMSM carries a GRAS (generally recognized as safe) designation. Following the acquisition, Bergstrom Nutrition will be part of Balchem’s Human Nutrition and Health business segment and integrated into the Minerals & Nutrients business unit.
