At Pack Expo, CVC Technologies will showcase its acquisition of softgel specialist Changsung Softgel

CVC Technologies Inc. USA (Fontana, CA) will highlight its recent acquisition of softgel manufacturer Changsung Softgel System at the upcoming Pack Expo Las Vegas trade show happening on September 11-13, 2023. At the show, CVC Technologies will exhibit at booth SL-6831. The Changsung acquisition expands CVC Technologies’ growing presence in softgel manufacturing. CVC Technologies designs and supplies an array of nutraceutical and pharmaceutical packaging and processing equipment.

At Pack Expo, CVC Technologies will highlight Changsung’s newest softgel capsule filling machine, called the Changsung 990SR, which is suited for a range of capsule shapes and sizes. According to the company, “Benefits of the state-of-the-art machine include an expanded die roll size for higher output, adjustable on-the-fly injection timing, automatic alignment of the die roll to home position, and implementation of thermo-chilling technology for more efficient cooling.” The company adds that this latest iteration, the 990SR, can increase productivity by 36.4% compared to the previous model, the 880SR (softgel size oval #10).

Changsung’s latest softgel machine aims to improve production of medications and supplements while increasing operational efficiency, the company adds. The company says demand for softgels is growing at a 10% CAGR, which has also been driven by growth of vegetable-based capsules.
